Before/After

I recently spent 10 days at the Center for Cartoon Studies, taking their annual summer workshop. Not only was it a great experience, it came at a perfect time for me. I was worn out, exhausted, drained and burned out. Here's what I felt like before the trip:

Drawing Day

Okay, so it's been a while since I updated this blog. But expect more -- lots more.

In fact, let's start off with something brand new. Below is a quick, chaotic cartoon I drew yesterday for Drawing Day 2010. I wanted to push this out in just a couple of minutes, and I'm happy with the way it came out.

Platt Christmas Cards

For about 6-8 years after college, I drew my own Christmas cards and sent them out by the dozens. They were pretty popular, but this was also a time when these were about the only cartoons I'd draw all year!

Someday I may return to drawing my own cards -- I've got at least 20 ideas sitting around in my files -- but until then, here are a few of the cards from years past!
